MOTO G – Apple is not the only fruit!

When we’re looking to replace our smartphone, why do we tend to put the blinkers on and limit our choice to the high-end models from Samsung, HTC and, of course…. Apple.  Maybe it’s time to look further afield?!  Well that’s what we think after trialling the Moto G 4G from Motorola.  Hardly new kids on the block, Motorola have however been left out in the cold somewhat with anything memorable since the mid 90’s.

This looks set to change with their budget priced Moto G model.  For around £150 you get probably the best screen at the price, a very capable quad-core processor, a 5-megapixel camera and the latest version of Android, 4.4.3 KitKat.  Models from Samsung & HTC at this price have all suffered with processor speed, ruling them out for the business user, but with it’s a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, backed up by 1GB of RAM, we found it to be more than powerful enough for most common tasks.

So when you need a very capable, reliable workhorse that won’t make your staff feel like they’ve been given a budget handset, take a look at the Moto G from Motorola.  It’s certainly worth a look if you’re after a 4G phone without a top-end price.
